What Is Laser Therapy?

Laser Light

Laser Therapy originated in the 1960′s, where Endre Mester (from Hungary) used lasers to accelerate wound healing. Since then, Laser Therapy has repeatedly demonstrated that it can both alleviate pain and promote tissue repair. Today, Laser Therapy is a common and effective treatment for soft tissue injuries. Many people discover Laser Therapy only after they have lost hope and when traditional rehabilitation has not helped. It is our goal not only to help those who are in desperate need, but also help people with common problems like arthritis, muscle injuries, etc.

Laser Therapy is ideal for treating these problems and returning people back to their normal lives. Basically, Laser Therapy is the application of light to accelerate the body’s natural healing process. Laser Therapy reduces pain and is curative rather than simply modulating symptoms.

The systems that The Laser Cure use have a Medical Device Licence; which means that Health Canada has approved the systems for the treatment of soft tissue injuries (see conditions treated). The systems are also FDA cleared. The Laser Cure utilizes the BioFlex Professional System (as seen in the picture to the right). Meditech International Inc. is the manufacturer of the system and has been involved with the research and development of Low Intensity Laser Therapy Systems since 1988.
