Serious pull of my hamstring

At the tender age of 46 thought it would be a good idea to go waterskiing on this past Civic holiday Monday (August 7th) despite not having performed this task in 25 years. Things were going along smoothly until I took a spill which resulted in a serious pull of my hamstring. The news at the hospital was not good…2 weeks on crutches and 6 weeks total recovery time. Thanks to Elizabeth’s ad in the Guardian newspaper that my husband saw the next day, was in for my first laser treatment the morning of August 9th. I was in for treatments 4 times that week and by the following Monday was walking without crutches. After 9 treatments over the course of a couple of weeks, I was healed to the point I could resume most normal activities. Thanks to Elizabeth and the Laser Cure Clinic, I was able to play in a charity golf tournament on September 9th (just 4 ½ weeks after the accident) where I won longest drive!

Chronic pain in my feet for many years

I have had chronic pain in my feet for many years due to multiple health problems with my ankles and arthritis. Sadly, with all the pain I was unable to put weight on my left foot. Due to this the only way I could get up is with help. My family or friends always had to be there to help me up.

I was so thankful when my family heard about The Laser Cure”. I no longer require assistance to weight bear on my left foot. The laser therapy took the pain away. It keeps me going. The pain was so intense I could not function. After 4-5 treatments on my left foot I could get up on my own again. I was able to walk when initially I could not.

I want to thank-you for your kind, caring, and sensitive care with the laser. My quality of life improved thanks to the Laser Cure. I would recommend The Laser Cure to any of my friends. Kind, caring and compassionate about my care.

Sincerely,
Ruth Caulfield

The discomfort (pain) was there 24-7

I have severe osteoarthritis in both wrists. When the doctors looked at my x-rays they asked how I broke my wrists. I did not! The medical profession says that there is no cure for osteoarthritis.

The discomfort (pain) was there 24-7. My family doctor prescribed different anti-inflammatory drugs and suggested that I take Ibuprofen and other pain killers. Personally, I have a problem with putting all those man-made chemicals into my body at any great dosage for any duration of time.

Five years ago, I started taking Glucosamine Chondroitin, 900 mg 3 times a day at the advice of my family doctor. Although that helped to lubricate the joints, my condition was too far advanced and the condition was only, at best, maintained. Then I bought and continuously wore a magnetic bracelet, which helped dull the pain and make it somewhat bearable. A few months ago, I enrolled in a Pain Management class put on by the Arthritis Society. The course definitely help to divert my focus from the pin during intense moments of discomfort.

About 6 weeks ago, a friend, who knew of my condition and about your Low Level Laser Therapy Clinic, suggested that I call you.  We eventually made contact.

That was 13 treatments ago and I must admit that even after a couple of sessions, I did notice the constant pain was not there.

You have said that my cells are now in repair and in the healing process.  I know that I will never be completely free of pain, but with the reduction of the pain my quality of life is improving.

Thank you for your efforts and explanation of what is happening with my wrists in respect to my treatments with LLLT.

Thankfully yours,

Tom Gorham

Doctors just gave me medication pain pills

My injury was a herniated disc. I was disabled to the degree I could not walk without severe pain. The doctors just gave me medication pain pills. I had no strength or energy. As I am 90 years old, I was supposed to rest. Because I was still very active, driving the car and going to activities outside the home, my daughter saw “The Laser Cure” in the paper and persuaded me to try it. After 6 or 7 treatments, I am able to walk by myself.

Suffering from tendonitis in my ankle for several months

I happened to be doing a favor for a friend back in September of this year, delivering a package to a business on the same floor as The Laser Cure. It was impossible to miss the brochure posted in the elevator. When I read that Low Intensity Laser Therapy is used in treating tendonitis, I was intrigued. After delivering my parcel, I ventured through the door and made an appointment for later that same day.

I had been suffering from tendonitis in my ankle for several months, my pronated foot having stretched the tendon on the inside of my ankle. i had, at that point, recently been fitted with orthotics, which helped with my plantar fasciitis, but I was still in a lot of pain. Even though I worked at a desk, by the end of each day I was in agony. My entire ankle and part of my foot would be swollen, with the inside portion of the ankle unbearable even to touch. All I wanted to do was put my feet up. I often limped because of the pain.

After only two treatments, I noticed a difference and felt so much better.  the following weekend, I had a set-back when I tripped and fell doing some outside clean-up work at the cottage.  After that, the pain worsened.  My doctor made an appointment for me with an ankle and foot specialist here in Brampton, but when I found out it was going to be a two month wait, I was quite discouraged.  I didn’t know how I was going to get through until then.  Although I had been taking Advil over the course of the summer for pain and inflammation, I had stopped September and had not desire to resume taking it again.

I purchased an over-the-counter ankle splint and continued with the L.I.L.T. treatments.

Over the course of the next ten treatments, the swelling completely disappeared and the pain gradually lessened to the point where I was not longer completely focused on it.

I completed my treatments about a month ago, and my life has returned to normal.  I still wear the splint and orthotics, but my activities no longer revolve around how much pain I may be feeling at any given time.

I kept my appointment with the ankle and foot specialist, and he told me to just keep on doing what I’d been doing.  The tendon was not torn as I had feared.

I would recommend The Laser Cure to anyone dealing with any kind of chronic pain.  Elizabeth Slonchka is a very competent technician.  Her sense of humor and sympathetic nature always made me feel comfortable.  She really understood, and cared about, how much pain I was in.
