Elizabeth Slonchka, R.N.

As a Registered Nurse with over 20 years of experience, Elizabeth has strived to promote health idealogy and help patients cope with illness. By working both at the bed side and being a part of management team, Elizabeth has a comprehensive understanding of how to provide patients wtih excellent care. Quality health care involves the whole family; Elizabeth has a wealth of experience in treating and providing emotional support to patients and family members. She also has been an educator to patients and the public.

As Elizabeth progressed into nurse management roles, she was responsible for overseeing the provision of nursing care to patients in accordance with the Standards of Nursing Practice (as established by the College of Nurses of Ontario). As a Nurse Manager she directed Registered Nurses,
Registered Practical Nurses and Personal Care Givers in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care. As a Director, Elizabeth was responsible for setting goals and objectives for the nursing department, promoting resident satisfaction and continuous quality improvement. Elizabeth advocated on behalf of residents and communicated with families to ensure high quality of care.

Over the years Elizabeth gained particular expertise in pain management and wound care. She always wanted to help her patients find alternative solutions for pain relief. She was introduced to Low Intensity Laser Therapy (LILT) by her husband Mark Slonchka, the Director of Product Development and Technical Services at Meditech. After studying the evidence and understanding the healing properties of LILT, she decided to open her own clinic in Brampton.

Elizabeth was most impressed with the effects of pain relief for arthritic, dermatological conditions, wounds, soft tissue and sports injuries. As a Registered Nurse she advocates Low Intensity Laser Therapy for her patients. It significantly improves and or cures the multiple pathologies in the shortest possible period of time, and can be an effective alternative or complement to pharmaceutical  treatments.

Mark Slonchka

Mark is a part owner of The Laser Cure. Ever since graduating from Ryerson Polytechnic University for Electrical Engineering in 1998, Mark has been employed at Meditech International Inc. His current position at Meditech is the Director of Product Development and Technical Services. Meditech is the manufacturer of the BioFlex Low Intensity Laser Therapy Systems; which The Laser Cure currently uses in its practices.

Celia - Registered Massage Therapist (R.M.T.)

Celia graduated with honours from Elmcrest College of Applied Health Sciences. Trained in Swedish massage techniques, she takes a holistic approach combining trigger point therapy, joint mobilizations and hydrotherapy within her practice. She has completed training with Trimesters in Pregnancy massage. Celia is currently working towards her certification in Hot Stone Therapy and Thai Yoga Massage. She practices yoga and ballet. Other interests include fitness, outdoor activities, photography and traveling.

Celia believes in prevention, maintenance and continued well-being in order for her clients to express their true optimal health.
